Schwabe currently has an opening for a full-time lawyer to help support the firm's Indian Country and Alaska Native Corporations industry group, as well as government contracting in the firm's Business & Transactions department. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Knowledge of and experience with Alaska Native Corporations and/or Federal Indian Law
  • 1 to 3 years experience with transactional law
  • Knowledge of and experience with government contracting
  • Excellent skills in legal research, analysis, writing, and in communication
  • A track record demonstrating exemplary client service, organizational skills, and teamwork
  • Demonstrated ownership of projects and willingness to work in a collaborative setting, but with significant independence
  • Strong work ethic and client service acumen, excellent academic credentials and professional references, as well as solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Alaska. Washington, or Oregon State Bar admission or eligibility for immediate reciprocity

The pay range for this position is $140,000 - $165,000, depending on job skills and experience. The position is also eligible for discretionary merit bonus and consideration at the end of each calendar year.
