We are currently hiring an Immigration Litigation Attorney to develop the federal litigation efforts within our firm. This is a high-impact role for an outstanding litigator who thrives on complex challenges and is passionate about defending immigrants in removal proceedings, federal court, and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Immigration Litigation Attorney, you will:
- Lead and manage complex federal litigation, including habeas corpus petitions, petitions for review, and constitutional challenges on behalf of detained and non-detained immigrants.
- Draft and argue motions, briefs, and appeals in federal and immigration courts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify litigation opportunities and build compelling cases.
- Negotiate settlements and monitor compliance with court orders and agreements.
- Contribute to the development of litigation templates, training materials, and best practices for firm-wide use.
- Depending on your experience, be under the mentorship and supervision of other attorneys with federal litigation experience.
Qualifications:
We are looking for a top-tier attorney who meets the following criteria:
- Minimum of 3–7 years of legal experience, preferably in immigration law and/or federal litigation.
- Demonstrated strong aptitude for complex legal reasoning, research, and writing.
- Preferred: A strong background in federal litigation and immigration law, including habeas corpus litigation, petitions for review, mandamus / APA litigation, and/or other complex immigration-related federal cases
- Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred.
- Preferred: Admission to the California Bar (or willingness to seek admission).
- Demonstrated commitment to immigrant rights, social justice, and public interest law.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The starting base salary is $110,000-$145,000/year depending on experience. We offer 11 paid federal holidays, medical, dental, vacation, and matching 401K benefits. Additionally, we will invest in your training and development to turn you into a well-rounded, powerful team member. This position is full-time (in the office at least 3 days a week), Monday through Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm.
