Description:

You'll be in immigration court most weeks, standing next to families on the hardest day of their lives. We make sure you're not doing it alone: a support team of paralegals and legal assistants handles prep alongside you, so your time goes to strategy and advocacy.

What you get:
  • $90,000–$150,000+ base, depending on experience
  • Hybrid schedule: 2 remote days per week
  • A paid Friday off every month (after 90 days) — a three-day weekend, every month
  • 20 days of paid vacation annually after your first year
  • Health insurance and 401(k)
  • Paralegals and legal assistants on your cases, and supervising attorneys to strategize with
  • Fun Fridays, team events, and a real path into leadership as the firm grows

What You'll Do:
  • Appear at Master Calendar hearings for detained and non-detained clients — pleadings, relief strategy, scheduling
  • Handle bond motions and custody redeterminations for detained clients
  • Review and strengthen applications and evidence: asylum/withholding/CAT, EOIR-42A and 42B cancellation, adjustment before the court
  • Draft motions: prosecutorial discretion, terminate, administrative closure, reopen/reconsider
  • Prepare clients and witnesses, and keep families informed with clarity and compassion
  • Guide paralegals and legal assistants on case prep, filings, and deadlines

What We're Looking For:
Must Have:
  • JD and active bar membership in good standing in any U.S. state or territory (Florida Bar a plus)
  • Experience appearing in immigration court (Master Calendar hearings at minimum)
  • Strong research and writing (Westlaw, Lexis, or similar)
  • The organization to own deadlines across a busy docket

Strongly preferred:
  • Fluent Spanish
  • Individual Hearing experience
  • Detained docket and bond experience
  • Experience guiding paralegals or legal assistants
  • Newer attorneys with strong clinic, clerkship, or nonprofit removal-defense experience: we want to hear from you too.
