Job Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Immigration Attorney to join our legal team. Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on immigration options, including visas, green cards, asylum, and citizenship applications, ensuring they understand all legal requirements and procedures.
- Prepare, review, and file immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to stay current on evolving immigration laws and policies.
- Represent clients in immigration interviews, hearings, and appeals with confidence and clarity.
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases involving estate planning, family law, tribal law & regulations, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, environmental law, patent law, and litigation when relevant.
- Draft legal documents with precision, including legal briefs, memoranda, and correspondence that clearly articulate case strategies.
- Maintain meticulous records of case progress and ensure compliance with all procedural deadlines in a fast-paced legal office environment.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the bar in relevant jurisdiction required.
- Proven experience practicing immigration law with a strong understanding of federal regulations and procedures.
- Demonstrated expertise in legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis platforms.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal drafting.
- Strong negotiation skills to advocate effectively for clients' interests during settlement discussions or hearings.
- Familiarity with a broad range of legal areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landord-tenant law.
