Position Overview:
Haim Vasquez Immigration Law, PLLC is seeking a passionate, skilled Immigration Attorney to join our litigation and family-based immigration team. You will manage a diverse caseload—including removal defense, waivers, and family-based petitions—while representing clients before EOIR, USCIS, and other agencies. You'll join a collaborative team that values excellence, empathy, and community service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in immigration court (EOIR) hearings, bond proceedings, and USCIS interviews.
- Develop case strategies; prepare and file applications, motions, briefs, and appeals.
- Conduct client consultations and maintain clear, timely communication throughout each matter.
- Coordinate with legal assistants, paralegals, and support staff to manage deadlines and documentation.
- Participate in community outreach, legal education workshops, and firm pro bono initiatives.
- Contribute to a positive, mission-driven culture centered on client-focused advocacy and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' immigration law experience (removal defense or family-based preferred).
- Licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to immigrant rights and social justice.
- Preferred: law review, immigration clinic, or trial advocacy experience.
- Spanish fluency strongly preferred.
