We are seeking an associate attorney for our Glendale, CA Office. Our firm has been in business for over 35 years, and we pride ourselves that most of our staff have been with us for 10, 15, or even 20 years, as we continue to grow with increased caseload with global clients.
What we are looking for:
As a boutique immigration law firm, we are looking for an attorney who can manage multiple cases, work in a team environment, and is dedicated and passionate about client service.
The ideal candidate should: have minimum 3 to 5 years' extensive experience in all immigration law areas, including removal, USCIS interviews, family and employment based petitions, and consular processing; be from an accredited law school and in good standing with an active California State Bar license; be self-motivated and willing to take feedback; show accountability in managing cases and paralegals; have a strong and collaborative work ethic; have the ability to communicate succinctly; fluency in Tagalog preferred; be willing to travel outside the Los Angeles area for appearances; have knowledge of MS Suite and immigration software, such as DOCKETWISE or similar programs.
General Responsibilities:
- Manage and handle caseload from start to end
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis including writing briefs, waivers, motions, appeals, declarations, and reviewing all relevant documents/packets for submission
- Attend appearances on behalf of clients and prepare clients prior to appearances along with submitting necessary documents and packets
- Maintain client interface and communication as needed and in coordination with assigned paralegal
- Stay updated on changes in immigration law and regulations
- Conduct phone and in-person consultations, as needed.
- Adhere to legal management policies and use of case management systems.
