We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bilingual Immigration Attorney proficient in both Spanish and English to join our team specializing in Removal Defense and USCIS matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immigration law, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients facing removal proceedings and navigating the complexities of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) process.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive legal representation to clients facing removal proceedings, including but not limited to asylum claims, cancellation of removal, waivers, and other forms of relief.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies tailored to the individual circumstances of each client.
  • Prepare and file motions, briefs, and other legal documents with immigration courts and USCIS.
  • Represent clients at immigration court hearings, USCIS interviews, and other proceedings.
  • Communicate with clients to explain legal options, provide updates on case progress, and address any concerns or questions.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management and delivery of high-quality legal services.
  • Stay abreast of changes in immigration law, policies, and procedures to effectively advocate for clients and provide accurate legal advice.
  • Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness of immigration issues and resources available to immigrant communities.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files, records, and billing information in accordance with firm policies and ethical standards.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience practicing immigration law with a focus on removal defense and USCIS matters.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to serving immigrant communities and advancing social justice.
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience representing clients in complex removal proceedings, including cases involving criminal issues, domestic violence, and trafficking.
  • Prior experience working with vulnerable populations, such as unaccompanied minors, asylum seekers, and victims of persecution.
  • Additional language proficiency beyond Spanish and English, particularly in languages commonly spoken by immigrant communities.
