Cabanillas & Associates Law Firm seeks an Immigration Attorney. We are a growing practice in need of an experienced attorney who can manage caseload on his or her own with little supervision. We serve the Hispanic community in the New York Metropolitan area – New York, New Jersey & Connecticut.Fluency in Spanish is a plus, and good communication skills with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
CT Bar admitted required. NY / NJ Bar admitted a plus.
Two or more years of experience preferred. This is a hybrid full time position.
Responsibilities include:
- Court appearances in Harford, CT (mostly Immigration Court though some Family and Criminal Court also may be required)
- Draft legal documents including petitions, waivers, motions and appeals.
- Scrutinize legal documents drafted by legal assistants or attorneys
- Independently handle caseloads.
- Advise clients on legal matters.
