Description:

Established boutique immigration law firm of 18 years seeks a full-time Immigration Attorney to join our team. A Chicago Immigration Attorney is gay-owned and values diversity in hiring.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage PERM cases, including drafting and submitting forms to the DOL, handling recruitment processes, and maintaining accurate audit files.
  • Prepare and review employment-based immigration filings, such as H-1B, L-1, O-1, and TN visas, as well as I-140 petitions.
  • Draft complex, lengthy written documents in support of immigrant and nonimmigrant employment-based matters (such as support letters for H-1Bs, O-1s, and National Interest Waivers).
  • Research, analyze, and apply regulations and procedures (from USCIS, DOS, and DOL) for employment-based immigration matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate case information in the firm's case management system (BlueDot).
  • Provide regular updates to supervising attorneys and clients (both employers and employees) regarding the status of cases.
  • Responsibilities will initially include only employment-based immigration matters, but future opportunities to learn and work on diverse nonimmigrant and immigrant cases will be available (if interested).

Requirements:
  • J.D. and bar admission to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
  • Experience in employment-based immigration matters.
  • Must have excellent analytical, organization, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to juggle multiple tasks at once with accuracy.
