Job Description:The Law Offices of Murray D. Hilts, a small immigration law practice located in North Park, San Diego, is seeking a recently admitted attorney who is fluent in Spanish and English to assist with immigration court appearances.
Our practice focuses primarily on removal defense, asylum, and other immigration-related proceedings. Due to the continued growth of our practice, we are seeking an attorney to provide coverage for scheduled court hearings and appearances.
Responsibilities:
- Attend scheduled immigration court hearings and appearances on behalf of the firm and its clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients in both English and Spanish. REQUIRED.
- Coordinate with the supervising attorney regarding case status, hearing preparation, and court instructions.
- Provide timely updates and reports following court appearances.
Qualifications:
- Active membership in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- Native fluency in Spanish and English (required, not negotiable).
- Strong communication and courtroom skills.
- Professional, reliable, and comfortable appearing before Immigration Courts.
- Newly admitted attorneys are encouraged to apply.
Compensation:
Per diem compensation, negotiable based on availability and experience.
