Description:
Union Law Group is seeking a California-licensed Immigration Attorney to join our San Diego team.The ideal candidate is fluent in Spanish, passionate about immigration law, and comfortable managing cases, communicating directly with clients, preparing complex legal filings, and representing individuals before immigration courts and government agencies.
What You'll Do:
- Represent clients before EOIR, USCIS, BIA, AAO, and other immigration authorities.
- Manage immigration matters from intake through resolution.
- Handle cases involving asylum, VAWA, U visas, removal defense, family petitions, waivers, naturalization, consular processing, and employment-based immigration.
- Draft motions, legal briefs, appeals, I-290B filings, and responses to RFE/NOID.
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
- Communicate directly with Spanish-speaking clients.
- Participate in community presentations, firm marketing, and business development initiatives when needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Active member in good standing of the State Bar of California.
- Professional fluency in Spanish and English.
- Strong legal writing and research skills.
- Strong case management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
- Ability to work in person in San Diego, California.
- Willingness to travel when required for court appearances, USCIS appointments, conferences, or other case-related matters.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous immigration law experience.
- Immigration Court / EOIR experience.
- Experience with motions, appeals, RFE/NOID responses, and complex case strategy.
- Experience with Business Immigration matters such as TN, E-1, E-2, L-1, O-1, H-1B, PERM, EB-1, EB-2/NIW, or EB-3 is highly desirable.
