An Am Law 200 firm ranked #17 in Vault's “2024 Best Law Firms to Work For,” seeks a junior associate to join its Immigration practice in our Hartford office.

Our lawyers, experienced in all aspects of immigration law, represent Fortune 100 and Global 500 companies, as well as small businesses, new ventures, and nonprofit organizations, including hospitals and universities. The members of our group interact on a regular basis with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Department of Labor (DOL), the State Department, and various U.S. embassies and consulates around the world, and provide advice concerning compliance with IRCA/I-9 Forms and export control issues.

Responsibilities for this position include counseling clients regarding the eligibility of corporate employees for nonimmigrant and immigrant visa status in the United States, responding to questions regarding travel and maintaining status, working with clients to prepare petitions and applications for submission to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Department of Labor (DOL), and preparing responses to governments requests, among other related duties.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess superior academic credentials, and work well as part of a team. Candidates must have excellent writing, analytical, and organizational skills, including meticulous attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and adapt to shifting demands. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate who has an interest in immigration work. Prior immigration experience is not required for this role, and on-the-job training will be provided. Admission to the Connecticut bar is required for this position.
