Clark Hill is seeking an Immigration Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join either the Houston, Collin County, or Austin office. This attorney will (i) Serve as the primary legal and strategic point of contact for assigned corporate clients (ii) Advise employers on workforce planning, immigration strategies, and compliance requirements, including H-2A and H-2B temporary worker programs (iii) Communicate case strategies, timelines, and government requirements (iv) Prepare, review, and oversee H-2A and H-2B applications, recruitment documentation, compliance materials, and related government filings. Candidates must also have an active bar membership in good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction). This is a full-time position with the ability to work remotely two days per week.The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and skills:
The salary range for this position at the time of posting is $125,000 - $145,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. - Significant employment-based immigration experience.
- Experience with H-2A and H-2B visas is required including advising employers on program eligibility, recruitment requirements, compliance obligations, petition preparation, and ongoing workforce planning.
- Experience handling a broad range of employment-based immigration matters, including H-1B petitions, PERM labor certifications, I-140 immigrant petitions, Adjustment of Status applications, L-1 intracompany transferees, and TN classifications.
- Should be comfortable serving as a trusted advisor to employers navigating complex workforce and immigration challenges, including temporary and seasonal labor needs.
- Experience counseling clients directly on a variety of immigration matters and assisting with the preparation and filing of petitions and applications before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Department of Labor (DOL), and other government agencies.
- Possess strong advocacy, research, and writing skills; a high-level attention to detail; and strong academic credentials.
- Be able to stay organized and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced client-service environment.
