Job Description:We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join our immigration practice. This role offers hands-on experience across a broad range of immigration matters and the opportunity to advocate for clients at critical moments in their lives.
Our practice handles a diverse caseload, including family-based petitions, consular processing, removal defense, detention matters, and federal litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is eager to develop litigation skills while gaining comprehensive exposure to immigration law.
This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and driven by a genuine passion for serving immigrant communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation in a wide range of immigration matters
- Develop case strategies across family-based, removal, detention, and federal litigation cases
- Represent clients in immigration court proceedings and USCIS interviews
- Prepare and review applications, petitions, motions, and legal briefs
- Conduct legal research and stay current on changes in immigration law and policy
- Maintain consistent and compassionate communication with clients
- Manage a high-volume caseload with accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure high-quality case outcomes
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent degree
- Active bar membership in good standing
- 0–3 years of legal experience (immigration experience preferred but not required)
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle a high caseload
- Demonstrated passion for immigration law and client advocacy
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and case management systems (e.g., eImmigration)
- High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail
