De Armas & De Armas Law, PLLC, a boutique law firm in Downtown Detroit, Michigan. Our practice consists of immigration defense, criminal law, and family law cases. The bulk of our work however is with the Hispanic community and mostly immigration related. We're currently a team of 10 always looking to add more to our "DDL" family. The firm was founded by two siblings, Marvin and Marva De Armas. Coming from a Cuban-American background, this dup has created a family-centric Lawfirm that focuses on quality and care. We've been practicing in the metro detroit area for nine years and look forward to continuing to serve the community. We're passionate about our clients, our work, and our team.

Job Title: Immigration Associate Attorney
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: De Armas & De Armas Law, 613 Abbott St, Suite 600, Detroit MI 48226
Salary Range: $75,000+ depending on experience
Job Overview:
De Armas & De Armas Law, PLLC is seeking a driven and compassionate Immigration Associate Attorney to join our growing practice. This role is ideal for an attorney who is passionate about advocacy, values client-centered representation, and wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of immigrants and their families.
The ideal candidate will have experience in immigration law, be fluent in Spanish, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will work closely with a dedicated and supportive legal team on a wide range of immigration matters, gaining hands-on experience while developing your skills and professional judgment.

Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in immigration proceedings, including bond, asylum, deportation defense, and visa applications
- Attend USCIS and ICE interviews with clients
- Represent clients in family law and guardianship hearings
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
- Prepare clients for interviews and hearings
- Communicate with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders
- Stay current on immigration laws and regulations
- Assist with other legal matters as needed
- Assist with managing support staff and compliance work for suppport team
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in immigration law
- Fluency in Spanish
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
