Salary Range:
$170,000.00 To $225,000.00 Annually

Purpose of Role:
Mandelbaum Barrett PC is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with 7+ years of experience in commercial/ complex litigation. It also would be ideal if the candidate has experience in healthcare and/or employment litigation matters.

We are particularly interested in attorneys who are self-starters, write well, and have first- or second-chair experience handling trials and/or arbitrations.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle a broad range of litigation proceedings from inception through resolution, focusing mostly on healthcare and employment litigation matters.
  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and briefs.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration, and administrative hearings.
  • Develop and execute litigation and defense strategies.
  • Manage multiple cases independently with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Support related practice groups, as needed.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the department.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar required; New York admission is also a plus (or willingness to obtain).
  • 7+ years of legal experience, including taking and defending depositions and first or second-chair trial experience.
  • Excellent communication, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and professionalism.
  • Team-oriented with strong leadership, mentoring, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Adaptable, intellectually curious, and capable of handling complex legal and business issues.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base Salary: $170,000–$225,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final salary reflects your skills, experience, and contributions.
