Our Healthcare Practice Group is seeking to hire an associate to join our Los Angeles office. We will also consider remote applicants. This is an excellent opportunity to join A Global 100 Law Firm, With More Than 700 Attorneys's national health care practice, which has received numerous national and regional rankings, including by Chambers USA, Legal 500, and U.S. News/Best Law Firms. California Bar admission is required.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of litigation experience to join our California-based healthcare litigation team. A Global 100 Law Firm, With More Than 700 Attorneys's healthcare litigation team regularly represents healthcare companies in False Claims Act litigation, federal and state investigations, government enforcement actions, and other complex civil disputes. We seek candidates who appreciate the art of law and want to be part of a premier team representing clients across the health sector in high-stakes matters. This position also offers a unique opportunity for candidates to join a group that is experiencing tremendous growth. The ideal candidate is expected to work collaboratively with various members of A Global 100 Law Firm, With More Than 700 Attorneys Complex Disputes, Healthcare, and Government Investigations & White Collar Defense teams (both in California and nationwide) and will possess the following attributes:
  • Significant demonstratable litigation experience, including familiarity with federal and California process;
  • Exceptional writing skills (pleadings, briefs, declarations, memoranda) and excellent project/litigation/client management skills;
  • Excellent e-discovery skills, including proficiency with document and information management platforms and applications;
  • Experience representing health care entities and navigating complex healthcare regulatory environments, including general familiarity with federal and California healthcare fraud and abuse laws and other laws impacting reimbursement under governmental healthcare programs;
  • Willingness to take ownership of (and run with) assigned matters, projects, and tasks;
  • Clerkship and/or relevant federal or state agency experience preferred.
