Description:

A Government Entity Committee on Finance (majority staff) is seeking a health policy intern or law clerk to join the Committee's health team for the Summer of 2024. Interns and law clerks routinely assist senior committee staff with legislative research, hearings, and other substantive assignments and administrative projects. Previous interns and fellows have worked on a variety of health issues, including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, judicial challenges of health care law, prescription drug pricing reform, and expansion of health insurance coverage.

Candidates from diverse backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates would be current graduate or law students with a demonstrated interest in health policy. Often students can receive college credit for participating in the program. This position will start in early June 2024, with some flexibility for a start date. In recent years, summer interns have received a stipend competitive with executive branch. Decisions on stipends for 2024 will be made once government funding has been established.
