Job Description:
Overview of the Position:
The Head of Legal manages the legal function, leads regulatory compliance, and obtains and oversees the work of outside counsel. He/she is directly involved in complex business transactions, including international business transactions and negotiation of critical contracts for the Company. The Head of Legal also has responsibility for all legal and regulatory aspects of M&A including due diligence and FAA compliance.
The successful candidate should be highly accomplished in their legal profession with general industrial business knowledge. He/She must have experience working collaboratively in a global environment and serving on business leadership teams.

Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor with 7+ years of experience as an attorney, 4 of which managing parts of a corporate legal department in an industrial business-to-business setting preferred but not required; M&A, FAA and Aerospace experience is desired.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- An active contributor to determine the direction of the company, working closely with the executive team.
- Serves as the day-to-day leader of all company legal functions for Wencor.
- Champion the importance of legal, regulatory, and ethical practices company-wide.
- Update and maintain legal registrations in all jurisdictions, including foreign.
- Ensure that all company policies and processes comply with local law.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on legislation to keep current with the aerospace industry.
- Advise executives, managers, and employees on legal issues.
- Develop and make presentations on legal compliance and ethics.
- Negotiate, draft, and review large contracts.
- Coordinate with HEICO's Associate GC on the management and negotiation of M&A activity.
- Other duties as necessary or assigned.
