Responsibilities and practice:
Dentons US LLP is seeking a is seeking a mid-level associate with 2-4 years of work experience to join our thriving Government Contracts practice in Washington, DC. The associate hired for this position will work collaboratively with partners and be a key member of the team. Expected responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
  • Counseling on government contracts performance issues
  • Litigating CDA claims, bid protests and FCA cases
  • Supporting internal and government investigations arising in connection with government contracts
  • Reviewing contract and subcontract agreements and FAR and DFARS flow-downs
  • Performing general research and writing in support of the department's full scope government contracts practice

Pursuant with DC law, the salary range for this position is $235,000 - $310,000, based on experience. Based on years of experience, Dentons associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate. Position Requirements:
Personal skills/attributes:
  • Possesses strong writing and analytical skills
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and is able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Demonstrates superior organizational and time-management skills
  • Understands the importance of client service and is committed to building client relationships
  • Has strong networking and business development skills

Technical skills:
  • 2-4 years of legal experience required
  • Prior government contracts experience with a law firm is strongly preferred

Other Requirements:
Must be licensed to practice law in Washington, DC and be in good standing. Washington, DC candidates may also be licensed in any US state or territory if they are also eligible to waive into the Washington DC Bar pursuant to DC Court of Appeals Rule 46 and agree to apply for an Exception to admission
