Job Description:
A Business Law & Litigation Services is seeking a mid-level associate or counsel with three to five years of experience in government contracts law for the Firm's Washington, DC office. A Business Law & Litigation Services's government contracts practice primarily focuses on representing clients contracting with the Department of Defense and other national security related agencies. Relevant experience working in private practice and/or in U.S. Government procurement-related attorney positions will be considered.

Key areas of experience include:
  • Providing guidance on procurement programs across the federal government with a focus on the Department of Defense/U.S. Military
  • Knowledge and experience advising clients under the FAR and DFAR regulations
  • Bid protests
  • Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REAs)
  • Contract Dispute Act claims
  • Litigation experience before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals and/or the U.S. Civilian Board of Contract Appeals
  • Joint venture agreements, teaming agreements, subcontract reviews
  • Contract terminations, suspension and debarment proceedings

Beneficial qualifications:

  • Experience handling issues with the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DCSA)
    • Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
    • Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence (FOCI)
    • Facility Clearances
  • Familiarity with export controls (ITAR/EAR)
  • Familiarity with government contracting cybersecurity requirements (e.g., CMMC).
