We are currently seeking a General Liability Defense Associate Attorney with 1-6 years of experience to join our Orlando office. This position will be based in our Orlando office but will handle and litigate matters throughout Florida.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic practice area that includes the defense of auto & truck accident claims, premises liability, wrongful death, negligent security, and general commercial litigation matters. The General Liability Defense practice group also does a significant amount of emergency accident response, accident scene investigation, accident reconstruction, and expert consultations and evaluations for a variety of cases. Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required. Trial experience is also a plus, but not necessary. We value ambition, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to professional growth.

Responsibilities:
As an Associate Attorney at Commercial Litigation Attorneys, you will:
  • Manage your own caseload and deadlines
  • Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, and various types of expert witnesses
  • Perform legal analysis on new and existing claims, and develop case strategies
  • Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery
  • Take depositions, attend hearings, and participate in mediations
  • Conduct site inspections, accident scene investigations and expert evaluations
  • Conduct and assist in accident reconstruction
  • Conduct and assist in emergency accident response investigations
  • Negotiate settlements
  • Assist with all aspects of trial when required
  • Assist with any post-trial requirements

Qualifications:
  • 1-6 years of experience in General Liability Defense or related areas
  • Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated skills in writing, analysis, research, and negotiation
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Must be in good standing with the Florida Bar
