We are seeking general liability and professional liability litigation associates with all levels of experience. You will defend clients in a broad range of matters with direct partner mentorship, meaningful client contact, and real opportunities for practice development and professional growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Defend clients in a broad range of general liability and/or professional liability matters
  • Investigate claims and defenses, analyze liability and damages, and develop case handling strategies
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Draft letters, memos, motions, and pleadings
  • Prepare discovery requests/responses and take/defend depositions
  • Represent clients at court conferences, hearings, mediations, and trial/arbitration
  • Communicate regularly with partners, associates, paralegals, clients, and opposing counsel
  • Meet a 1,850 annual billable hours requirement

Skills & Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Current California Bar admission in good standing
  • 3+ years of experience with general liability and/or professional liability litigation
  • Excellent writer with strong attention to detail
  • Effective oral communication skills
  • Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills and responsiveness
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of current California state and federal court procedures
  • Comfortable handling court appearances; experience with depositions and mediations required
  • Trial experience preferred but not required
