Description:
Eastern Illinois University seeks a part-time professional up to 18.75 hours with an earned J.D., at least five years of experience in higher education, and membership in the Illinois bar or capacity to become a member following appointment. The position requires knowledge of contracts, Illinois procurement rules, collective bargaining agreements, labor law, and experience with the full range of compliance expectations impacting public universities.The position is hybrid with required on-campus availability as needed by the senior leadership team and required attendance at the Board of Trustee meetings, as well as retreats, to ensure the University's compliance with board regulations and the State of Illinois' Open Meetings Act. Experience with board relations is preferred.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,174.88
