We are a small and growing firm, with offices in Denver and Frisco, Colorado, seeking a full-time Family Law Associate Attorney to work in our collegial environment. Our work format is hybrid, and this role would require at least two to three days in person at our Denver office per week. This candidate's caseload will consist of primarily family law, with the opportunity to learn and handle some other matters, including, but not limited to, estate planning, guardianships, probate litigation, conservatorships, and estate administration.

The ideal candidate will have some experience with domestic relations law in Colorado, though no experience is required for this role. The candidate will be an intrinsically motivated self-starter, and able to thrive in a high-volume law practice. Our billing requirement for associate attorneys is 1,500 hours per year, evaluated on a quarterly basis. Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Juris Doctor from an ABA Accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado

Job Duties:
  • Manage high-volume caseload, with immediate responsibility and independence in family law cases
  • Assist partners, senior associates, and associates with existing caseloads
  • Appear in court
  • Draft motions and pleadings, conduct discovery, etc.
  • Attend depositions
  • Facilitate client meetings and consultations
  • Perform legal research
  • Attend mediations and engage in other dispute resolution processes
  • Delegate and supervise work to paralegals and other staff members
  • Adhere to billing standards and conventions

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English (or another language)
  • Familiarity with Clio or another practice management software/platform
  • Experience with finance, tax, and/or banking
  • Comfort working with diverse populations across varying cultural backgrounds
  • At least two years of experience practicing Family Law in Colorado

Compensation: Our good faith total compensation estimate for this position within the first year is between $80,000 and $130,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and self-generated business/originations. Total compensation will consist of base pay, commissions, incentives, benefits, and bonus.

This position is exempt under the FLSA and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Location: This position is hybrid, requiring the candidate to work in-office no less than two to three days per week, at our Denver office located at 517 E 16th Ave Denver, CO 80203. Standard working hours will be 8:30AM to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. The in-office component of this position is an essential function of the position. This position is hybrid; this is not a remote position.
