As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking one or two experienced franchise attorneys who want to build a long-term career in one of the country's premier franchise practices.
We are seeking exceptional franchise attorneys nationwide. Attorneys who live in New Jersey will work from our New Jersey office, while attorneys living outside New Jersey may work remotely.
What You'll Do:
You'll serve as trusted counsel to franchisor clients throughout every stage of franchise development and growth, including:
- Drafting and updating Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs)
- Preparing franchise agreements and related franchise documentation
- Advising clients regarding franchise registration and state compliance
- Counseling franchisors on franchise operations, system expansion, and regulatory matters
- Assisting clients with franchise sales compliance and disclosure obligations
- Supporting mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and strategic transactions involving franchise systems
- Working directly with founders, executive teams, and sophisticated business owners
- Collaborating with our attorneys, consultants, and client success team on complex franchise matters
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum five (5) years of concentrated franchise law experience
- Significant experience representing franchisors
- Experience independently drafting Franchise Disclosure Documents
- Experience preparing franchise agreements and related legal documentation
- Experience with state franchise registration and renewal filings
- Strong legal drafting and analytical skills
- Excellent client communication skills
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Preferred:
- Seven or more years of franchise law experience
- Experience managing client relationships independently
- Corporate or transactional law background
- Experience with franchise mergers and acquisitions
- Interest in mentoring junior attorneys
