It is the responsibility the Fiduciary Counsel to assure that the company's fiduciary responsibilities are properly discharged, that clients are served expeditiously and professionally, and that the company's business is conducted in such a way as to accomplish our client's goals without creating undue risk to the company.
  • Reviews and analyzes documents related to new business opportunities (trust documents, wills, settlement agreements, court orders, etc.).
  • Drafts relevant internal paperwork related to ongoing administration.
  • Researches relevant statutes.
  • Identifies, researches, and analyzes legal issues and questions submitted by different departments.
  • Conducts independent research, as needed, to further clarify issues and reach sound decisions.
  • Participates in meetings and other forms of communication with outside counsel and professional advisors.
  • Provides legal analysis to internal leaders and colleagues.

Requirements:
Education: JD is required; LLM or other business degrees are a plus.

Experience: Prior litigation experiences is not a requirement, but it is a plus. Requires experience in a legal or professional corporate environment, prior trust and estate legal work is a plus.
