Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Jobseekers should be equally familiar with prenuptial agreements, divorce, alimony, child support, and real estate, and be able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation even in highly stressful and emotional situations. Responsibilities:
  • Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases
  • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed
  • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
  • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
  • Keep client files properly organized and up to date

Qualifications:
  • Must have handled family law cases for at least 7 years, along with vast knowledge of property division
  • Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants
  • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
  • Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association)
  • Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background
  • Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required

Compensation:
$200,000 - $250,000 yearly DOE plus Bonuses
