Description:
Position Summary:The Staff Attorney will provide legal representation in a variety of family law matters and manage an independent caseload. This role involves substantial litigation, client advocacy, community engagement, and outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain an independent family law caseload.
- Interview and advise clients, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Conduct depositions and discovery.
- Negotiate with opposing counsel and parties.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and before administrative agencies.
- Conduct client intake and home visits as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, client groups, and service providers.
- Develop and present community education programs and outreach events.
- Participate in special projects, clinics, and other assignments as directed.
Qualifications:
- Admission to the Florida Bar required.
- Demonstrated commitment to social, economic, and racial justice.
- Passion for serving low-income and underserved communities.
- Experience or interest in family law preferred.
- Strong litigation, advocacy, communication, and client-relations skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $75,000 - $83,000 (based on 1-6 years of experience)
