Position Overview:This is an entry-level staff attorney position, perfect for a new lawyer or lawyer looking for a new opportunity. We are not looking for years of experience or a specific resume. We are looking for the right person — someone coachable, driven, and genuinely passionate about family law and the people we serve. Here is what you will be doing:
- Meet with clients and build attorney-client relationships with families under stress.
- Develop case strategy and provide legal advice — with mentorship and support at every step.
- Draft pleadings, motions, financial affidavits, and proposed orders, with detailed feedback from the supervising attorney.
- Appear in Pinellas County circuit court, starting with supervision and building toward greater independence over time.
- Manage your caseload from intake through final resolution using our case management system, with autonomy over cases.
- Supervise and direct staff to assist you on day-to-day case tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD), Florida Bar licensed and in good standing with the Bar; new admittees are welcome — if you just passed (or are waiting on results), apply now.

- Genuine desire to practice family law long-term.

- Proficiency in time management and timekeeping.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in legal aid services or other public interest setting
- Any family law, litigation, clinic, or public interest experience.
- Strong people skills and a calm, trustworthy presence with clients in difficult situations.
- Comfort with numerical/financial analysis.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practices in client service.
