Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Family Law Litigator to join our dynamic legal team. Duties:
- Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, visitation rights, alimony, and related issues
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools to support case strategies
- Draft detailed legal documents, including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and court briefs with precision and clarity
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes
- Collaborate with clients to develop tailored legal strategies that align with their goals and circumstances
- Stay current on developments in family law as well as related areas such as estate planning, immigration law, and tribal law & regulations to provide comprehensive counsel
- Maintain meticulous case records and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a family law litigator with a strong record of courtroom success and client advocacy for a minimum of 3 years
- Extensive knowledge of family law statutes, procedures, and best practices
- Proficiency in legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear, persuasive legal documents
- Strong negotiation skills to facilitate settlements that serve client interests effectively
- Legal administrative experience to manage case files efficiently and meet deadlines consistently
