This position can be based out of either our Clarksburg, West Virginia, or our Morgantown, West Virginia, location.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law hearings, settlement conferences, mediations, and trials
- Draft motions, pleadings, settlement agreements, and final orders
- Guide clients through complex legal and emotional situations
- Collaborate with other members of the legal team on case strategy
- Oversee case files, track progress, and manage deadlines
- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and court staff
- Daytime travel is required across West Virginia for various hearings
Qualifications:
What You Need:
- Licensed to practice law in West Virginia
- Prior family law experience is preferred but not required
- Excellent courtroom presence and legal writing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and client relationship abilities
- Confidence under pressure and compassion for people in crisis
- Willingness to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to track and enter time daily
Compensation:
$100,00 - $125,000 yearly + bonus potential + benefits DOE
