Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, visitation rights, spousal support, and adoption cases.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and stay current on evolving laws and regulations.
- Draft clear, persuasive legal documents including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and court briefs with precision and professionalism.
- Represent clients confidently in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Provide clients with comprehensive legal advice on estate planning, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, environmental law, and litigation when relevant.
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to develop innovative solutions tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
- Maintain meticulous case records and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements using legal administrative experience to streamline workflow.
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience practicing family law with a track record of successful client advocacy and courtroom appearances.
- Strong knowledge of family law statutes, regulations, and procedural rules.
- Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis to efficiently gather pertinent information.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting detailed legal documents and correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
