Our starting lawyers pay scale is a minimum of $85k (and that's the floor), and is based on experience. If you're a top producer, a self starter there's no limit on earnings based on our attractive bonus commission program. To be clear, top producers are desired and if you're that top producer -send a list of continuing education, self-study/self-improvement, and sales training that you've done in the last 24 months. If you are a top producer that means you can bring us a deal, case/cases. We're looking for an attorney who can hit the ground running to give our clients outstanding representation from initial strategy meetings to post-judgment client care.This position is not an entry-level job and requires experience handling highly contested divorce and family law matters. You'll need a Texas license and a minimum of 3 solid years in family law litigation. Salary is commensurate with skill and experience. Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Engage in strategy review sessions with our clients to understand the facts and goals to prepare a Case Plan for each client
- Communicate with clients and discuss options, strategies and solutions at key junctures of their case so they understand their options and make informed decisions
- Prepare Family Law documents/pleadings; such as, petitions, responses, judicial forms, summons, declarations and affidavits (client, third party, attorney), divorce decrees, temporary and final orders, parenting plans, child support orders, child support worksheets, motions, replies, mediation and/or trial briefs/letters, trial preparation, etc.
- Prepare clients for hearings and trials
- Attend hearings, and trials
- Prepare and drafts legal documents for filing with appropriate entities and necessary correspondence
- Drafts pleadings and motions, including judgments and orders
- Handle all aspects of cases assigned to them
- Performs administrative duties as necessary including filing, mailing, organizes files and pleadings
- Conducts legal research for particular issues
Qualifications:
Our Ideal Candidate will possess the following:
- J.D
- Texas license required
- Family law experience
- This position has the potential for incentives/bonus pay on top of base salary based on productivity, along with employer-paid Bar and CLE dues and paid time off.
- Salary ranges based on experience plus the opportunity for discretionary bonuses and other incentives.*
