What You'll Do:
As a Family Law Associate Attorney, you'll manage your own cases while collaborating with experienced attorneys and a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities include:
Manage family law matters from intake through resolution, including:
  • Divorce / matrimonial actions
  • Child custody and visitation
  • Child support / spousal support (maintenance)
  • Other Family Court proceedings
  • Draft and review legal documents: pleadings, motions, discovery, agreements, affidavits, etc.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
  • Communicate clearly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Regularly litigate, including hearings, trials, conferences, and other proceedings as needed
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support teams to deliver an excellent client experience

Required Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license in good standing to practice in New York State
  • Family law experience of two years preferred; one year is required (divorce/custody/support and/or family court work)
  • Strong client-service mindset and high ethical standards
  • Highly responsive to clients and skilled in communication, organization, and case management
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team

Preferred (nice-to-have) experience

  • Experience managing a caseload with deadlines and performance metrics
  • Comfort with practice management technology and modern workflows
  • Billable hours structure

Compensation & Benefits:
Annual compensation: $85,000 – $170,000

Structure: Base salary + percentage of billed fees, plus performance incentives
