A.G. Linett & Associates is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to join our Greensboro office. We are a dynamic and growing trial firm with a strong reputation for client advocacy and professionalism.Candidates with 3–5 years of family law experience are especially encouraged to apply. We also welcome bilingual (English/Spanish) attorneys, though this is not required. The ideal candidate will bring confidence, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative practice.
The Associate position is outlined below. Note, this is a general description. Additional responsibilities will be required of the candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with and counsel clients on their legal needs; develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Conduct discovery, gather evidence, and formulate strategies for defense or settlement.
- Prepare legal briefs, motions, and other filings in a timely and consistent manner.
- Appear in court for motions, hearings, and trials.
- Perform legal research and draft memoranda, arguments, and case analyses.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for clients.
- Collaborate with support staff and delegate work effectively.
Qualifications:
- Admitted to and active member of the North Carolina State Bar;
- Up to five (5) years of litigation experience
- Ability to regularly delegate work to staff;
- Ability to think on his or her feet and speak extemporaneously in court;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to understand, analyze, interpret and convey complex information and concepts;
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Demonstrated record of excellent client service;
- Sound organizational skills. Detail-oriented and capable of handling a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet critical deadlines;
- Keen analytical skills with ability for problem-solving;
- Commitment to developing a book of business and utilizing Firm's marketing tools to grow the book and practice as a whole;
- Familiarity with Mac OS
- Filemaker Pro
- Proficient in Office suite;
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary ($85,000 – $100,000), commensurate with experience.
