Description:
Duties:- Conduct legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support attorneys in case preparation
- Assist with drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Prepare and organize exhibits, evidence, and other documents for trial
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to schedule hearings and depositions
- Maintain case files and update case management systems with relevant information
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and meetings
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and organizing documents
Experience for the ideal candidate, but willing to train someone new to Family Law
- Proficiency in legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures in family law cases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to draft legal documents accurately and efficiently
- Experience with case management software is preferred
