Location: Old Town Alexandria, VA (Primarily On-Site)Join a respected and growing Northern Virginia law firm representing clients in family law matters throughout Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. We're looking for an Associate Attorney with strong research, writing, and advocacy skills who's ready to make an immediate impact. In this role, you'll represent clients in court, draft persuasive pleadings and motions, and work closely with them on complex, meaningful legal issues.
What You'll Do:
- As appropriate, handle cases from inception through trial, hearing, mediation, or settlement
- Draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents
- Negotiate settlements and advise clients on litigation risks
- Build relationships with clients while developing effective legal strategies
What We're Looking For:
- Licensed in Virginia (DC bar a plus)
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and interpersonal communication
- Willingness to appear in court regularly and manage a growing caseload
- 1–5 years litigation experience preferred (will consider exceptional new attorneys)
