Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Law Associate Attorney to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload involving divorce, custody, support, and other family law matters. This role requires excellent legal judgment, advocacy skills, and the ability to provide exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution
Represent clients in court hearings, trials, mediations, and settlement conferences
Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
Conduct legal research and develop strategies for complex family law issues
Communicate regularly with clients and provide legal guidance
Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in contested and uncontested matters
Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure timely case progression
Maintain accurate billing, timekeeping, and case documentation
Stay current on family law statutes, case law, and procedural rules

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in Idaho
1–3+ years of family law or litigation experience preferred
Courtroom and litigation experience strongly preferred
Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities
Strong negotiation, communication, and advocacy skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Professionalism, empathy, and strong client‑management skills

Skills:

Proficiency with legal practice management software (Clio preferred, but not required)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize efficiently
Commitment to high‑quality legal representation and ethical practice
