Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Law Associate Attorney to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload involving divorce, custody, support, and other family law matters. This role requires excellent legal judgment, advocacy skills, and the ability to provide exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, mediations, and settlement conferences
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
  • Conduct legal research and develop strategies for complex family law issues
  • Communicate regularly with clients and provide legal guidance
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in contested and uncontested matters
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure timely case progression
  • Maintain accurate billing, timekeeping, and case documentation
  • Stay current on family law statutes, case law, and procedural rules

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Idaho
  • 1–3+ years of family law or litigation experience preferred
  • Courtroom and litigation experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Professionalism, empathy, and strong client‑management skills

Skills:
  • Proficiency with legal practice management software (Clio preferred, but not required)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
