We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Family Law Associate Attorney to join our team. This is a hybrid position based in Delray Beach, allowing a combination of in-office and remote work. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing cases while working closely with clients during some of the most challenging periods of their lives.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to develop or expand a career in family law within a small firm where mentorship, responsibility, and professional growth are prioritized.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of family law matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal memoranda
- Prepare financial affidavits, settlement proposals, and mediation summaries
- Conduct depositions, hearings, and mediations
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case strategy and updates
- Work collaboratively with paralegals and staff to ensure efficient case management
- Prepare for and attend court hearings and trials
- Engage in negotiation and settlement discussions with opposing counsel
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing with The Florida Bar
- Prior family law experience preferred but not required
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple cases simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
