The Family Law Associate Attorney will represent clients in a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, and related proceedings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Minnesota family law statutes, demonstrate sound legal judgment, and approach each case with professionalism, empathy, and integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and file legal documents including petitions, motions, affidavits, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and negotiations.
- Provide clear, timely, and practical legal advice to clients.
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient and effective case management.
- Maintain the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and client confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of Minnesota.
- At least 1-5+ years of experience in family law.
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with complex family law cases.
- Familiarity with mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
