Description:Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, divorce, and domestic violence. Responsibilities:
- Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed
- Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
- Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
- Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process
- Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed
Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Texas attorney and not awaiting bar results
- Must have no less than 3 years in family law
- Must live in the Dallas metroplex or be willing to commute to Dallas
- Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
- 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position
- Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required
- Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background
- Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants
Compensation:
$135,000 - $195,000 yearly
