Cozen O'Connor's Global Insurance Department seeks an attorney with 5–8 years of significant insurance coverage and litigation experience to join our Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have strong Commercial General Liability (CGL) coverage experience, including analyzing and litigating complex coverage disputes and bad faith, as well as experience across a broad range of insurance coverage matters. Candidates should also possess a solid understanding of contractual indemnity provisions and competing other insurance clauses. Knowledge and experience with commercial auto, motor carrier liability, commercial excess/umbrella, environmental / pollution liability, real estate / homeowners' liability, among other package business liability and management and professional errors and omissions coverage forms is strongly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate excellent analytical, writing, and advocacy skills, as well as strong academic credentials. Substantial insurance coverage litigation experience is required, including involvement in all phases of litigation. Defense litigation experience would also be helpful. Illinois bar admission is required, additional bar admissions also a plus. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and must be a self-starter with serious hands-on experience, efficient, and capable of handling his or her own volume of cases in consultation with our team of insurance lawyers in Chicago and around the country.

The salary range for this role is $190,000 - $220,000 and represents the Firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
