Position: Experienced Immigration, Family & Litigation Attorney

The Law Firm of Yuan Jiang, P.C. is seeking an accomplished and highly motivated attorney to join our growing practice. Qualifications:
  • J.D. or LL.M. and admission to practice law in the United States.
  • Meaningful experience in immigration law, family law, civil litigation, or a combination of these practice areas.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters and competing deadlines effectively.
  • Sound professional judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to perform confidently in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds; experience serving the Chinese-American immigrant community is highly valued.
  • Chinese-language proficiency is a significant plus, but not required.

Immigration Practice

The attorney will have the opportunity to handle a broad range of sophisticated immigration matters, including:
  • Drafting appellate briefs and motions before the Board of Immigration Appeals and briefs before the U.S. Courts of Appeals.
  • Representing clients at asylum interviews, adjustment-of-status interviews, naturalization interviews, and other USCIS proceedings.
  • Appearing before Immigration Courts for Master Calendar Hearings, Individual Merits Hearings, and custody redetermination proceedings.
  • Preparing family-based petitions, asylum applications, VAWA and other humanitarian petitions, naturalization applications, and related immigration filings.
  • Developing evidentiary records for removal proceedings, including legal submissions, exhibits, declarations, affidavits, and supporting documentation.

Family Law & Civil Litigation

The attorney will also have opportunities to develop and expand litigation experience across a diverse range of matters, including:
  • Contested and uncontested matrimonial and family-law proceedings.
  • Business and commercial disputes.
  • Landlord–tenant and real-property matters.
  • Loan and contractual disputes.
  • Federal and state employment litigation, including FLSA claims.
  • Workers' compensation matters.
  • Personal injury litigation.
  • Motion practice, discovery, negotiations, hearings, trials, and other stages of litigation.
