Position: Experienced Immigration, Family, and Litigation AttorneyOur Firm is seeking a highly skilled Attorney with substantial experience in immigration law, family law, and civil litigation. The ideal candidate will bring not only technical expertise but also a disciplined, strategic approach to managing a diverse caseload with precision and professionalism.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Licensed attorney with a J.D. or LL.M.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines with efficiency and organization.
- Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage complex, high-volume matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and file briefs before the Board of Immigration Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals.
- Represent clients at Asylum Officer Interviews, Adjustment of Status Interviews, Naturalization Interviews, and other USCIS proceedings.
- Prepare and argue motions before the Board of Immigration Appeals; appear at Master Calendar Hearings, Individual Hearings, and Custody Re-Determination Hearings before the Immigration Court.
- Draft and prepare family-based petitions, asylum applications, VAWA/abuse-based petitions, and naturalization applications.
- Assemble evidentiary submissions for deportation/removal proceedings, including exhibit lists and client affidavits.
- Work closely with clients, with a particular focus on serving members of the Chinese-American immigrant community.
- Handle contested and uncontested divorce proceedings.
- Represent clients in civil litigation, including business disputes, landlord–tenant matters, loan disputes, federal and state employment law claims (including FLSA violations), workers' compensation cases, and personal injury actions.
