Duties:
- Represent clients in family law cases, including negotiations, mediations, and court prep.
- Draft and review legal documents such as petitions, pleadings, consent judgments, and court motions.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies
- Manage case files efficiently within the law office's case management system
- Advise clients on legal rights, options, and potential outcomes related to family law issues
- Negotiate settlements that align with clients' best interests while maintaining professionalism and clarity
- Stay current on evolving laws and regulations affecting family law practice
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience handling family law cases
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms for comprehensive legal analysis
- Excellent writing skills for drafting clear, precise legal documents and correspondence
- Demonstrated negotiation skills to facilitate amicable settlements or favorable courtroom outcomes
- Legal administrative experience for managing multiple cases efficiently and maintaining organized records
