Description:
Florida construction law firm seeks an experienced construction litigation attorney for a 100% remote position, approximately 20–25 hours per week.Substantial construction litigation experience is mandatory. Florida Bar membership is not required; we will consider attorneys licensed in other U.S. jurisdictions with strong construction litigation backgrounds.
The attorney must be able to hit the ground running on substantive litigation work, including motions, pleadings, written discovery, discovery responses, legal research, contract analysis, and evidentiary analysis. The role also includes reviewing and finalizing substantive work prepared by a junior attorney.
This is a lean practice. We expect an attorney to take an assignment, determine what needs to be done, produce final or near-final deliverables within a reasonable amount of time, and identify and communicate issues requiring judgment without needing step-by-step direction.
Qualifications:
- JD and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- At least 6 years of litigation experience.
- Substantial construction litigation experience.
- Strong motion and written-discovery drafting experience.
- Excellent research, analysis, and writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work remotely.
- Experience reviewing or supervising junior-attorney work preferred.
- The position has a strong potential for a long term engagement.
