Job Overview:
An AV Preeminent®-rated law firm with offices in Austin, Houston, Lubbock, and Midland has an immediate opening for an Experienced Litigation Attorney to join our growing litigation practice.

Candidates must have a minimum of two years of litigation experience and be licensed to practice law in Texas.

The attorney will represent clients in a diverse range of state and federal court proceedings, including matters involving:

Construction litigation
Contract disputes
Intellectual property
General commercial and business litigation

Qualifications & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum of two years of litigation experience
Active Texas Bar license in good standing
Courtroom and hearing experience
Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills
Experience drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents
Ability to prepare for and cover hearings, including matters scheduled on short notice
Experience conducting and defending depositions
Experience managing written discovery
Experience with mediation and settlement negotiations
Arbitration experience preferred
Strong organizational and case-management skills
Ability to independently manage deadlines and multiple active litigation matters
Excellent written and verbal professional communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a litigation team

The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation practice and taking responsibility for assigned matters while collaborating with other attorneys and legal staff.

Candidates must be willing to travel as necessary for hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, trials, client meetings, inspections, and other case-related matters.
