Keyes Law Group is a boutique estate planning firm in Milpitas, CA. We handle estate planning, trust administration, probate, Medi-Cal planning, special needs trusts, and high-net-worth planning for individuals and families. We're growing, and we're adding another attorney to our team.
This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level attorney who wants hands-on experience, real client relationships, and a team that takes the work seriously — without taking itself too seriously.
What You'll Do:
- Meet with clients and provide thoughtful, personalized guidance on estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters
- Draft, review, and revise estate plans, trust documents, wills, and court petitions
- Represent clients in probate and trust administration proceedings, including court appearances
- Conduct legal research using CEB and apply findings to real matters
- Collaborate with our attorneys and team on strategies for complex cases
- Manage multiple client matters and deadlines simultaneously
- Maintain accurate records in Clio and record billable time consistently
- Stay current on changes in estate, elder, and tax law
- J.D. from An Accredited Law School and Active California Bar Membership (required)
- Minimum 3 Years of Legal Experience; Estate Planning, Probate, Trust Administration, or Conservatorship Experience Strongly Preferred
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills — You Can Explain a Trust to A Nervous Client and A Tax Strategy to A Sophisticated One
- Sharp Attention to Detail and Organizational Habits that Hold up Under a Full Caseload
- Comfortable Working Both Independently and As Part of A Collaborative Team
- Familiarity with Legal Practice Management Software; Clio, Lawmatics, or Smartsheet Experience Is a Plus
- Available for Court Appearances and In-Person Client Meetings in The South Bay
- Additional Language Skills (spanish, Mandarin, Hindi, Vietnamese, Urdu, or Others) Are a Genuine Asset Here and Warmly Welcomed

Our Office Is in Milpitas, Ca. This Role Starts In-Person — Clients and Courts Are Local, and Being in The Office Matters While You're Getting up To Speed.
Hybrid Flexibility (1–2 Days Remote) Is Available After Six Months Based on Performance and Caseload.
Fully Remote Is on The Table for Highly Experienced Candidates with A Strong California Estate Law Background.
