Responsibilities:
The candidate hired for this full-time position will have immediate and meaningful interaction with clients, advisors and other attorneys. Duties will include participating in client meetings, drafting estate planning documents, irrevocable trusts, corporate documents, premarital agreements, and deeds, performing research, preparing federal estate and gift tax returns, and estate administration. Occasional court interactions.
Qualifications:
Candidate must be licensed in North Carolina. At least one year of law firm experience, licensure in South Carolina (or the ability to obtain through Uniform Bar Exam), and a tax background (CPA or LL.M. in Taxation) are preferred. Meticulous attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with clients, advisors, and other attorneys, both verbally and in writing, are required. The desire to develop mastery of a diverse and sophisticated practice is essential.
Salary:
$125,000 for first year associate. Salary commensurate with experience for more senior attorney.
