Description:

The Role:
You'll own a caseload of estate planning matters from design meeting through signing and funding. You'll sit across the table from families with real complexity — business interests, blended families, multi-generational wealth — and you'll help them make decisions they feel good about. You'll also own a caseload of probate and estate and trust administration matters. We guide clients through every stage of the probate and administration process, from required court proceedings through full estate and trust administration, proactively addressing issues and complexities along the way.

This isn't a back-room drafting job. Our attorneys lead client meetings, determine strategies, partner closely with advisors, and work alongside a strong team to keep matters moving.

What You'll Do:
  • Independently manage a high-volume estate planning, probate, and estate and trust administration caseload (target 50-60 active matters) from engagement through completion
  • Lead estate planning meetings and signing meetings with clarity and confidence
  • Design and draft revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, POAs, and ancillary documents with increasing complexity
  • Advise on asset protection, estate and gift tax planning, and business succession strategies
  • Lead probate and estate/trust administration meetings, demonstrating the ability to identify and assess key legal issues, risks, and complexities at a high level
  • Supervise and coordinate associate attorneys and paralegals assigned to your matters, ensuring timely completion of projects and delivery of high-quality work product
  • Review drafts for quality and consistency before finalization
  • Coordinate funding and asset retitling with your internal team, clients, and advisors
  • Communicate proactively — clients and advisors hear from you before they have to ask
  • Spot legal risks, planning gaps, and missing information early
  • Keep matter documentation clean and current in our case management system
  • Build relationships with wealth advisors and referral partners
